Dr Stacey Reading

Co-director

Senior Lecturer, Exercise Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Dr Reading is the director of the University of Auckland’s Health & Rehabilitation Clinic and co-director of the Centre for Health & Rehabilitation Research at the University of Auckland. He is an exercise physiologist with expertise in cardiovascular physiology and his research is focused on the prescriptive use of exercise to improve physical function in health and disease.  His team uses advanced techniques to measure whole body and local oxygen delivery and utilisation.  His current research is aimed towards understanding the influence of cancer-related fatigue on acute and chronic exercise responses and behaviour in women living with metastatic breast cancer.

Professor Winston Byblow

Co-director

Professor, Exercise Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Professor Byblow is the Director of the Movement Neuroscience, where he mentors postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows and mid-career academics. He appears on Stanford University’s list of “World’s Top 2%” scientists and has authored more than 200 articles. His research examines stroke recovery and rehabilitation, motor neurophysiology, movement disorders, the cognitive control of action, and the effects of physical activity and aging on motor skill acquisition.
